Nylon String Harp Guitar

I really love to make musical instruments.  Here is one of my latest projects… the Nylon String Harp guitar.  It has  14 strings.  6 normal strings and 8 harp strings.  I simply added a block to the tail end of the guitar with 8 guitar tuners.  This took a bit of engineering to get it curved to the end of the guitar.  I then had to figure out how to space the tuners so that the strings ended up in the proper place on the top of the guitar.  The string length on the harp strings needed to be of a good length to get a great sound but not to impede playing the main 6 strings of the instrument.  I then  put a bridge and another block to anchor the strings on to the guitar top.  I really has an excellent sound.  I’m constantly playing around with the tuning of the strings.  You can be the judge.  Here is my first composition using this instrument ( it is in 11/8 time) :

Here’s what it looks like:

  1. Very impressive design and even more so in regards to the 11/8 piece produced with the instrument. Any interest in making me a left handed 9′ concert grand piano?
